A MANO LIBERA - Pantelleria DOP - Bianco frizzante
Producer: Vinisola
Location: The vineyards are located in Pantelleria, Sicily
Variety: Zibibbo (Moscato di Alessandria)
Harvest year: 2024
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested from late September to early October. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks with skin maceration of 24 to 72 hours at a controlled temperature of 20°C. This is followed by a slow fermentation of the must without the addition of selected yeasts. The wine matures for six months after harvest and undergoes a second fermentation in an autoclave for the formation of foam, followed by two months of aging in the bottle.
Color: Light straw yellow
Aroma: Typical of Moscato, with aromas of ripe fruit
Taste: Aromatic, fresh and lively
Food and wine pairings: This wine is excellent as an aperitif and pairs well with fish dishes, pizzas, and can be served with any meal.
Shelf life: The wine has a shelf life of about two years
Serving temperature: The ideal serving temperature is between 8° and 10°C
Unique wine: Francesco Rizzo is the "godfather" of the Zibbibo grape, with 70-year-old vines that automatically lead to more complex and richer wines.
Comments Scores Ian D’Agata: 92/100
Good straw color. Fresh saline and energetic, this clean bubbly speaks of apples, white and yellow flowers and is at once refreshing and filling. Long and layered on the bright finish, with touch of honey lingering in the background. Drinking window: 2025-2026.
