Fragrance: The intriguing nose offers cooler aromas of pear, annurca apple (mela annurca: not much different from a softer, sweeter Granny Smith), gravel, and mint, while suggesting an almost steely sobriety.
Taste: "Then very refined and reasonably tightly rolled in the mouth, but with an intriguing underlying sweetness and precision in the flavors of orchard fruit and hazelnut. Extremely impressive today due to the slowly emerging finish, with a captivating perfume of flowers and minerals that lingers on."

Anecdote: In 2001, Fattoria La Rivolta obtained European organic certification for the entire production. Since 2011, the vineyards and the winery have been voluntarily registered. A top producer from Benevento, known for its high-quality wines at affordable prices for years!

He captivating nose offers cooler aromas of pear, annurca apple (mela annurca: not unlike a softer sweeter Granny Smith), crushed stone and mint while hinting at an almost steely austerity. Then very refined and fairly tightly coiled in the mouth, but with captivating underlying sweetness and precision to its orchard fruit and hazelnut flavours. Extremely impressive today on the slow-mounting finish, which features compelling perfume of flowers and minerals that lingers on and on. As much as I like La Rivolta’s Coda di Volpe wine, for my money one of Italy’s 20 best white wines, I have to admit the Fiano this year is near-unbeatable. In fact, this outstanding wine is the best ever Fiano wine I have had from this winery: whatever you do, make sure you track a few bottles of this beauty down.
