Region: Lazio. The vineyards of winery Il Casale della Regina are located in the heart of Ciociaria, on the rolling hills of the villages of Arpino and Santopadre.

Variety: Blend van Lecinaro and Cesanese

Volume: 2021

Vinification: IA stainless steel tank temperature-controlled fermentation at 30°. The wine is placed in oak barrels of 225l for 6 months.

Colour: Bright red with a light purple tint. 
Smell/ Taste: "Very perfumed, with almost decadent red and black cherries, kirsch, and roasted coffee beans on the nose with hints of black pepper (that is the Cesanese d’Affile)."
"In the mouth, there is initially an extremely high acidity, but this becomes fuller in the middle and sweet and round in the long, lively finish."

“Only 13% but boasts lots of flavour and is downright lovely. It really is a mountain wine in style, made with a blend of 60% Lecinaro and 40% Cesanese d’Affile that mixes the fruitiness of the Lecinaro while the Cesanese gives the tannin.
