Libera I Sensi, greco bianco
Producer: Sergio Arcuri
Region: Ciro Marina (Crotone) in Calabria
Variety: 100% Greco Bianco
Vintage: 2024
Vinification:
Sergio’s Greco Bianco “Liberaisensi,” loosely translated as “blindfold” or “blind tasting,” is macerated on the skins for two to three hours before being pressed, naturally fermented (maximum temperature of 20°C), and then aged in steel.
Before bottling, the wine undergoes a light filtration. The total amount of sulfur (SO₂) here is 35 mg/L—quite low for a white wine, but stable at this level thanks to the antioxidant contribution of the skins and the extremely clean fruit at harvest. Since the wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation, filtration before bottling is necessary.
Color: Straw yellow
Aroma:. On the nose, you smell the fresh scents of yellow fruit and white flowers, combined with mineral accents.
Taste: The Libera I Sensi by Sergio Arcuri is a full and fresh white wine. Enveloping and rich on the palate, with a good dose of flavor and freshness that balance the whole.
Dish pairings: Pair it with all kinds of fish dishes from starter to main course.
Ranging from seafood carpaccio, calamari fritti, to fish stews.
Serving temperature: 10C°-12C°
Durability: until 2028
With a few hectares and a small production, they can obtain four labels that represent the maximum expression of the area: "Aris", "Il Marinetto", "Più Vite Cirò Riserva" and "Libera i sensi". These are wines that taste like Calabria and evoke the scents and flavors of the Ionian Sea. Simple and pure, without tricks, using sulfur dioxide to an absolute minimum and fermentations always spontaneous without ever adding selected yeasts.
The sun in your glass! Don't miss this deliciously fresh white wine with all your summer fish dishes.
Very versatile!
