Since Alessandro Varagnolo joined Ca’ d’Gal, much has changed. His modern ideas about making and aging wine are truly impressive! The coming man in Piemonte everyone is already talking about. And rightly so, his Moscati wines are unique and incomparable to other Moscato wines from Piemonte.
The top of Piemonte in your glass!
Comments Ian D’Agata: 93/100
Light yellow with a strong bead. Soft but deeply-pitched ripe aromas and flavours of yellow melon, pear and tangerine, plus subtle vanilla and grapefruit elements. Juicy and round, with fresh citrus and orchard fruit flavours nicely complemented by exotic green cardamom notes. Suave and creamy on the finish this will pair well with lighter desserts but also fish tartares seasoned with Oriental spices or fruit chutneys. This is just an excellent Moscato d’Asti, well-balanced and deep. Drinking window: 2025-2028.
