Region: The winery Fattoria La Rivolta was born in Torrecuso, in the province of Benevento, in the heart of the D.O.C. Taburno.

Variety: 85% Aglianico - 15% Piedirosso

Vinification: Malolactic fermentation in steel tanks, followed by aging for 12 months in barriques, and 6 months in bottle.

Aroma: Boffers seductive aromas of black cherry, strawberry, and violet, elevated by a floral perfume.
Taste: Clear and juicy, with a liqueur-like quality from the flavors of red and dark fruit, complicated by notes of menthol, herbs, and spices. A good acidity gives the wine a lot of punch, but there is so much juicy flesh that a sweet, soft finish remains. A blend of 85% Aglianico and 15% Piedirosso.

Anecdote: In 2001, Fattoria La Rivolta obtained European organic certification for the entire production. Since 2011, the vineyards and the winery have been voluntarily registered. A top producer from Benevento, known for its high-quality wines at affordable prices for years!

Scores Comments Terroir Sense: Good medium red. Initially reduced, opens with aeration to offer enticing aromas of black cherry, strawberry and violet are lifted by a floral perfume. Bright and juicy, with a liqueur-like quality to its red and dark fruit flavours complicated by notes of menthol, herbs and spices. Sound acidity gives the wine very good verve, but there’s so much juicy flesh to leave a sweet, smooth finish behind. An 85% Aglianico and 15% Piedirosso blend.
