Delicious autumn wines for your perfect dishes

"We pass by the beautiful Tuscany, where Susanna Grassi produces wonderful wines in Lamole-Greve, in the midst of the Chianti region. Her Chianti wines are all pure Sangiovese wines that perfectly reflect the terroir."

Typical characteristics of her wines are:

  • Very fine, elegant, crisp aromas, such as those of fresh cherries and raspberries.
  • A medium to light body, elegant tannins, and a good balance.
  • A pronounced freshness that ensures a good lifespan of the wines.

"We are therefore more than proud to distribute these delicious wines in Belgium."

Lamole Chianti Classico – Celestial Wine

A basic Chianti, but don't be mistaken, this is a Chianti that makes many Riservas pale in comparison! Combine this with a delicious lasagna with ground beef and you are in the seventh (wine) heaven! The 2021 also received a well-deserved 3 bicchieri in Gambero Rosso.

Land of Lamole Chianti Classico – Celestial Wine

This Chianti differs from the entry-level wine in that it is broader and more complex, with a higher acidity. Yet one aspect always remains the same: elegance.

Combine this beautiful wine with a nice piece of guinea fowl or Coniglio alla cacciatora (chicken/rabbit with sage, white wine, and pine nuts).

Gran Selezione Chianti Classico – Celestial Wine

The showpiece of the estate, made only in top years. This top wine undergoes a long barrel aging (24 months in large barrels), but never becomes clumsy. On the contrary, the complex, rich flavor remains refined and is combined with the elegance that characterizes all the wines of this estate.

Combine this with a Bistecca Fiorentina, truffle risotto, or a delicious Spezzatino. A must for anyone wanting to get to know Chianti wines with all their typical characteristics!

Autumn wines from Abruzzo

Finally, we take you to the Abruzzo, more specifically to Loreto Aprutino (province of Pescara), where Fausto Albanesi produces two red top wines that will make your autumn dinners with family or friends unforgettable.

Cocciapazza Montepulciano D’Abruzzo – Celestial Wine

In the nose: red fruits, black pepper, licorice, combined with balsamic, chocolate, and tobacco. On the palate, this wine offers a good structure, with soft tannins and fresh acids, making it pleasantly drinkable and never feeling clumsy. Pair this beautiful wine with a leg of lamb stuffed with herbs or a lovely piece of venison fillet with a red wine sauce.

Mazzamurello Montepulciano D’Abruzzo – Celestial Wine

In the nose, you discover red fruit with floral and spicy aromas. On the palate, this wine is incredibly elegant, with fresh acidity and immense depth. Pair this with a wild boar stew, Spezzatino (beef stew with peas and potatoes), or ripe hard cheeses.

"Not for nothing does Ian D’Agata mention these wines in the same breath as the wines of Valentini. He also gave them the highest score in his famous book "Native Wine Grapes of Italy"."
